How I Found Time for Yoga & Pranayama (and How MyWorld Helped Me Do It)

In our busy lives, finding time for self-care activities like Yoga and Pranayama can feel almost impossible. We know it’s beneficial—promoting relaxation, flexibility, and better breathing—but other tasks often take priority. In my own journey, I struggled to make time for Yoga and Pranayama until I discovered a simple habit: logging my daily activities in the MyWorld app. Here’s how it worked for me and how it might help you too.
Recognizing the Time Under My Control
I quickly realized that my work hours (about 10 hours a day) were largely non-negotiable. That left only the early morning and late evening for personal pursuits. Since evenings often come with their own set of errands, social commitments, or sheer exhaustion, I decided to focus on morning hours as the time I truly controlled.
The Power of Quick Entries in MyWorld
Rather than just thinking about doing Yoga and Pranayama, I began documenting every activity in MyWorld before I started it—like attending a meeting or reading the newspaper. This small but powerful habit made me more aware of how I spent my time.
- Pre-Task Logging:
Each morning, I’d open MyWorld and create a quick entry labeled “Yoga & Pranayama,” even before I began. This step acted as a personal commitment, a reminder that I had promised myself to do this activity. - Tracking Duration:
By noting the start time, I could see exactly how many minutes I spent on Yoga and Pranayama. Over time, I realized that a mere 16 to 20 minutes was enough to complete a simple session. - Attaching Notes & Feelings:
After finishing, I’d add a brief description about how I felt—relaxed, energized, or pain-free. This positive reinforcement made it easier to stick with the routine.

Overcoming Mental Resistance
Despite knowing the benefits, my mind often told me: “You can do Yoga later; handle your other duties first.” But by logging my planned Yoga session in MyWorld, I effectively “booked” that time slot for myself. Over a few days of forcing myself to follow through, I realized:
- Backache Issues Improved: Regular stretching and mindful breathing eased my chronic back pain.
- Improved Breathing & Relaxation: My lungs felt clearer, and I had better stamina throughout the day.
- Higher Productivity: Spending just 20 minutes on Yoga and Pranayama gave me the energy to tackle more tasks without feeling fatigued.
These benefits reinforced the idea that 20 minutes is a small investment for a significant return.
How MyWorld Encourages Consistency
- Habit Formation: By making a quick diary entry before starting any personal activity, I built a consistent habit.
- Time Analysis: The app’s review features helped me see how much time I spent (or didn’t spend) on Yoga and Pranayama each week.
- Motivation Through Progress: Looking back at past entries reminded me how far I’d come. This sense of progress kept me motivated to continue.
Conclusion: Documenting to Improve
Many people wonder what they should write in a diary or an app like MyWorld. The truth is, any personal activity—especially those outside your professional schedule—can be recorded and analyzed. This practice shines a light on how you truly spend your time and where you can carve out minutes for things that matter most.
If you start logging your daily tasks and personal goals in MyWorld, you might discover hidden pockets of time. Those pockets could be the key to developing healthy habits like Yoga and Pranayama—or anything else you’ve been putting off.
I hope this story inspires you to give it a try. You might find, as I did, that dedicating even 20 minutes a day to self-care is a game-changer for your health, happiness, and overall productivity.
